Barbara Jean Burr

Barbara Burr, 69 of Gumbo, passed away, Thursday, October 10, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. She was born April 21, 1944 in Desloge. She is preceded in death by parents, Cordell and Lottie (Allen) Edgar; son, John Samuel Burr; brothers, Cordell Edgar Jr., Paul Edgar, Harold Edgar and William Edgar; sisters, Juanita McCallum, Helen Brewer, and Eva Edgar.Barbara is survived by husband, James Burr; children, Kim (Mrs. Steve) Stamper, James Burr Jr and wife Kristin; four grandchildren, Logan, Holly, Drew, Olivia; and brother, Ron Edgar.A private inurnment is scheduled for a later date under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
