Artie Stegall, 72 of Desloge, quietly passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 22, 2011. Art was a proud member of the IBEW, were he served over 34 years of service, working for Simon Sign Company in St. Louis, where he erected thousands of signs throughout the metro area. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, where he flew peacetime missions over the Pacific Ocean. He also was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where he served as President of the State of Missouri as well as several offices over the years with Desloge Aerie #3350, during which time he raised thousands of dollars for countless charities touching families all across the country. Art was preceded in death by his mother Wilma Patterson of Desloge, MO and his son Brian K. Lawson of Irondale. He is survived by his loving wife Anna J. Stegall of Farmington; father, J. Clyde Patterson of Desloge; sister, Marlene Schrum of Ironton; sons, Wm. Eli Lawson and wife Sonya of Homosassa, FL and Bruce Lawson of Farmington; grandchildren, Kristi Simmons, Brittany Lawson, Chelsea Lawson, Brooks Lawson, Presley Lawson, B.J. Voegtlin and Daniel Sadler; eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, December 26, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Adams Cemetery in Frankclay.
