Arthur Wallace Jennings, 83, of Overland Park, KSpassed away March 21, 2014 at his residence. He was born February 6, 1931 inDesloge. Arthur proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was amember of the Full Faith Church of Love in Kansas City for 19 years. He workedfor Owens Corning Fiberglass for 35 years and also Brown Shoe Co. in St. Louis.He was a member of the Smiley Burnette Band and played clarinet and oboe justprior to Petticoat Junction. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel H.Jennings, Sr. and Eleanor F. (Conrad) Jennings; wife, Loretta M. (Skiles)Jennings; four brothers, Samuel H. Jennings, Jr., Catlin Jennings, ConradJennings and Richard Jennings. Arthur is survived by three children, Terry Jenningsand wife Deborah of Mesa, AZ, Sandra Reighard and husband Ronald of RoelandPark, KS, Randall Jennings and wife Amy of Overland Park, KS; eight grandchildren;five great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Gresseth of Granite Bay, CA; brother, DavidJennings and wife Dorothy of Desloge; sister-in-law, Helen Jennings Cash ofBonne Terre.Visitation will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge.Service will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Homein Desloge. Interment will follow at New Diggins Cemetery in Washington County.
