Archie Lee Camden, 67, of Farmington passed away January 20, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. He was born to the late Willard and Ruby (Fry) Camden on September 2, 1956 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas then moved to St. Francois County, as a young child.
Archie was a lifelong member of the Bonne Terre Masonic Lodge #424 where he served as a Master Mason and as a Past Treasurer. He was also a member of the Farmington Elks. Archie retired after 30 years with the Chrysler Corporation UAW local 110, Van Plant, in Fenton. Archie was a union official for 28 years and then was appointed by the International Union as a Training Facilitator. He was appointed by former Governor Jay Nixon and served six years as a civilian member of the Missouri Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers.
His pride and joy were his daughter and his grandchildren. He was a proud dance dad/sports paw paw and grandpa who never missed a soccer game, dance event or baseball game for Erika, Cami, or Cooper. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed buying and selling guns. He spent ten years racing 4-wheelers at the Bonne Terre Sand Drags with Erika. Archie was a strong Democrat and devoted Union Member. He loved foosball, pitching horseshoes, and throwing bags for corn-hole.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother: James Paul Camden.
Archie is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sonja (Cartee) Camden; daughter, Erika Griggs (Eric); two-grandchildren, Camden and Cooper Griggs. Several special family and friends also survive.
