Mrs. Annabell Lillian 'Gibson' Herzog passed away Thursday afternoon, April 16, 2009, at her Country Meadows Nursing Home residence in Park Hills, MO., at the age of 84 years, 7 months & 13 days. Annabell was born in St. Francois County on September 3, 1924, and was the last surviving child of Patrick J. Gibson and Minnie 'Mayes' Gibson. Also preceding-in-death were: her husband, Harold Lloyd Herzog (1985); several brothers & sisters: Florence Zimmerman; Ruth Starz; Dora Boyd; Julian Gibson; Adolph Gibson; Lloyd Gibson; Pat Gibson and Jack Gibson who was Killed-In-Action in The Korean War.
Annabell was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church and a member of the Burks School Homemakers. She was retired from Trimfoot Shoe Company of Farmington after 30 years employment. Annabell enjoyed working on her Ste. Genevieve County farm.
Survivors Include: Son, Jack (& LaVonna) Herzog, of Farmington. Grandchildren: Kim 'Mrs. Eric' Schrum; David (& Pamela) Herzog; Amanda 'Mrs. John' Gross. Great-Grandchildren: Hueston Schrum, to which Annabell was known as "Grandma Cane" & Wyatt Herzog. Also surviving are several Nieces; Nephews and a host of Friends.
Visitation : Sunday, 3-9 p.m. Visitation resumes Monday at 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Monday, 11:00 a.m., April 20, 2009
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Steven Thomas & Rev. David Wright officiating.
Interment : Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Ste. Genevieve Co.
