Anna Halbrook, 72, of Festus, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. She was born Sunday, June 1, 1941 in Farmington to the late Marvin Mason and Zelma (Rasnic) Mason-Mathes. Also preceding her in death is her husband Gale Halbrook. Anna and her husband first sold motorcycles out of their garage before managing Donelson Cycles for years. They owned and operated Cedar Falls Park a local motocross track for ten years. Anna and Gale were co-founders of the Flat River Grand Prix that draws hundreds of hare scrambles riders to the area each year.Anna is survived by son, Thomas Dale Halbrook and Diane Walters; daughter, Nancy Johnson and husband Rick; three grandchildren including Colton Smith; brothers, Tom Mason, Mike Mason and wife Emily, and Keith Mason and wife Becky; sister, Carolyn Brewer and husband Jack; many nieces, nephews, and a host of customers who knew her as "Aunt Nan".Visitation will be Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Caldwell Chapel in Park Hills. Funeral service will be Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Caldwell Chapel. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be directed to The Kidney Foundation.
