Mrs. Angeline J. "Angie" Stanley, 94, died Feb. 14, 2017, at her home. She joined the love of her life, Don, on Valentine's Day in Heaven. Angie was born April 4, 1922, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and was the daughter of Ernest J. Swedberg & Betty Elizabeth 'Salstrom' Swedberg. Preceding in death were: her parents; her husband, Rev. Donald C. Stanley (2008); a sister, Alice Swedberg & 3 brothers - Ralph A. Swedberg; Paul D. Swedberg & John A. Swedberg.
Angie was a longtime, faithful member of Farmington First Baptist Church and Desloge First Baptist Church. Angie was a pastor's wife for 65+ years, serving & caring, alongside her husband. She was a retired Desloge Elementary School Teacher. Angie graduated from Scottsbluff High School; William Jewell College & Southeast Missouri State University. Angie's special smile and hugs greeted everyone.
Survivors Include her 6 children: Patricia Stanley, of Farmington; Mary (David) Thurman, of Louisville, KY; William Stanley (Christopher Miller), of Louisville, KY; Catherine (Jim) Bledsoe, of Union, MO; Janet (Terry) Hudson, of Springfield, MO; and Paul (Judie) Stanley, of Wichita, KS. 7 grandchildren: Stephanie (Steve) Williams; Chris (Kristen) Thurman; Matt (Kayla) Thurman; Tim (Lindsey) Bledsoe; Ryan (Anne) Bledsoe; Valerie (Brandon) Welch and Ben Stanley. 11 great-grandchildren: Jenna & Erin Williams; Addison Thurman; Jacob Thurman; Emery & Max Bledsoe; Jude, Jovi & Angeline Welch; Dakota & Skye Stanley. Also surviving are many other friends & relatives.
Visitation : Sunday, 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. @ Farmington First Baptist Church
Funeral : Monday, 11:00 a.m., @ Farmington First Baptist Church, with Dr. William C. Miller officiating.
Interment follows at : Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery - Farmington
Memorials in lieu of flowers to : Farmington First Baptist Church, Building Fund
