Alvin Nipper

            Alvin Nipper, 80, of Desloge, passed away May 29, 2018 at his home. He was born October 25, 1937 in Belgrade, to the late Alonzo and Hazel (Martin) Nipper. Alvin was a former member of Gumbo Assembly of God and a member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with family. Alvin also enjoyed taking walks in the woods.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Ann (Groves) Nipper; sister, Bonnie Senter; and great-granddaughter, Morgan Myers.

            Alvin is survived by his children, Donna Sue Rhodes, Vickie Lynn Preiss, and Alvin Dale Nipper, Jr; grandchildren, Krista (John) Myers, Matthew Sutton, Justin (Stephanie) Preiss, Whitney (Andrew Fouts) Preiss; great-grandchildren, Allyanna, Riley, Toby, and Brayden; one great-great-grandson, Ryder; siblings, Doris Lawson, Bill Nipper, Shirley Gray, Bob Nipper, Larry Nipper, Linda Harter, and Cathy James; his beloved dog, Ginger.

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The service will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge, Friday, June 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM, with Rev. J.C. Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery.
