Alvena "Mae" Carrow

Alvena “Mae” Carrow, 95 of Bonne Terre passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at St. Joe Manor. She was born Sunday, March 26, 1922 in Bonne Terre to the late Zeno and Anna (Thompson) Carrow. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Evan Miller; brothers, George Carrow, Chester Carrow, Zeno Carrow; and sister Mary Corum. Mae was a faithful lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre. She worked in the lab at the Bonne Terre Hospital for 45 years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and was very artistic. She was an angel to everyone that knew her and always made you feel welcome and important.

Mae is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Mullins and husband Earl; great-grandson Wyatt Miller; sisters, Molly Valleroy and Cora Carls; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre with Father Stephen Bauer officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be directed to Masses at St. Joseph Catholic Church or Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
