Allyson "Ally" Lavigne

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allyson “Ally” Mary Lavigne, a beloved member of our community. Ally peacefully passed away at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis on December 4, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on September 6, 1956, in Pittsfield, MA, she was the cherished daughter of the late Robert Joseph and Eleanor Catherine (Kucherer) Druan.

Ally was a member of Mineral Area Elks Lodge #2583 in Desloge and the Eagles Auxiliary in Bonne Terre and was also a former member of North Adams Elks Lodge #487 in MA. Ally was involved with the Elks Lodge for over 20 years in Missouri and Massachusetts. She was the Exulted Ruler from 2017-2018. She retired from both Walmart and Taunton School District in Taunton, MA, where she drove the school bus. She was currently employed at Walmart in Desloge where she worked in the garden center.

Ally loved listening to country music, gardening, playing Bingo, traveling, watching the New England Patriots and most of all spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving children, Julie (Joe) Lamothe, Jerry Instasi, Paul Lavigne and Christopher Lavigne; grandchildren, Megan, Michael and Steven Moniz, eight siblings along with several nieces, nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, who will forever remember her kind and compassionate spirit.

Visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on December 8, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A Mineral Area Elks Service will be held at 6:00 PM with an Eagles Auxiliary at 6:15 PM. Funeral Service will follow at 6:30 PM with Deacon Mike Burch officiating.

In this time of grief, let us remember Ally for her unwavering kindness, her dedication and the love she had for her family. Her presence will be sorely missed, but her legacy of compassion and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ally’s memory to C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
