Allen Wayne Goldsmith

Allen Wayne Goldsmith 44, of Cape Girardeau formerly of Bonne Terre passed away January 5, 2012 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born August 12, 1967 in Fredericktown. Allen was a former manager at Hardees in Bonne Terre. He served on the Bonne Terre City/ Rural Fire Departments. He worked for the Bonne Terre Police Department and also served as their DARE officer. He worked for 911 Dispatch and was an officer for the Bismarck and Park Hills Police Departments while completing nursing school. He then moved to Springfield for two years to get his Bachelors Degree. While living in Springfield he worked at Cox Hospital in Branson, MO. Allen started law school in August 2011 and worked as a nurse at Missouri Delta. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Thelma Goldsmith, Lee Sebastian and Vernia Wann.Allen is survived by his parents, Robert and Sharon (Sebastian) Goldsmith; wife, Tammy (Braud) Goldsmith; four children, Jacob Goldsmith, Faith Tegel, Ryan Tegel and Hope Tegel; two siblings, Tracy (Mrs. Donnie) Cox and Robin Goldsmith; special friends, Allen Stegall and wife Teresa, and Gregory Stegall. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Service will be Sunday at 2:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge withRev. Randy Murphyofficiating. Burial will follow at Layne Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
