Allan Douglass Schell

Mr. Allan Douglass Schell, of Farmington, Missouri, passed away Friday afternoon, May 16, 2014, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing, in Farmington, at the age of 82 years, 7 months & 21 days. Allan was born on September 25, 1931, in Hornersville, Missouri, & was the son of Phillip Edward Schell and Mima Jane 'Edmonson' Schell. Also preceding-in-death was his wife, Patsy Ann 'Metcalf' Schell (Nov. 30, 2010); a son-in-law, Dr. Rick Ferguson; 5 brothers & sisters - W.R. Schell, Katherine Swindle, Frances Scherman, Clyde Cook & Ann Cope.

Allan graduated from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro. He was a US Army Veteran, and discharged in 1956. He was an educator at Hornersville Schools; House Springs R-1 schools and retired from the North County School District, after serving 30 years as an educator. Alan and Pat were former, longtime faithful members of Farmington First Baptist Church and 'Core Group Members' that planted New Heights Church. Allan was united in marriage to Pat Metcalf on August 7, 1953, in Monette, Ark., and enjoyed fishing, furniture restoration and woodworking.

Survivors Include : a daughter, Katherine Ferguson (& Ed) Litton, of Mobile, ALA; 2 sons - Christopher Schell (& Kathy Russell), of Herculaneum, MO & Phillip (& Becca) Schell, of Kirkwood, MO. 6 grandchildren: Brett (& Rachel) Ferguson; Kate (& Chuck) Marshall; Justin (& Lindsey) Ferguson; Hannah Schell; Mackenzie Schell & Typer Schell. Also, 6 great-grandchildren: Aubrielle Ferguson, Lily Ferguson, Eli Marshall, Nora Marshall, Henry Marshall & Maisie Ferguson.

Funeral : Monday, 2:00 p.m., May 19th

at : New Heights Church, with Pastor Rocky Good officiating.

LeadBelt Patriot Guard Riders will lead the funeral procession to Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery - Farmington, for interment.
