Alice Mae Hinkle

Alice Mae (Barker) Hinkle, 94 of Park Hills, passed away November 27, 2012 at her home. She was born October 24, 1918 in Cantwell. At the time of her passing she was the oldest living member of Esther Baptist Church, an extended family she treasured very much. In her younger days she was part of a quartet from the church and was always in the church choir.She was preceded in death by her husband Louie John Hinkle Sr.; parents James Enlo and Biddie Ellen (Cooksey) Barker; grandson James Holloway; sisters Marguerite (Barker) Leonard and Helen (Barker) Owen.Alice is survived by children Louie John Hinkle Jr. and wife Nancy, Robert Lee Hinkle and wife Joyce, Patricia Ann Holloway and husband Joe, Joyce Evelyn Mayberry and husband Bill, and Donald Lynn Hinkle and wife Rita; 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; brother Rev. James Barker and wife Geneva.Visitation will be Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Esther Baptist Church in Park Hills. Funeral service will be Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Esther Baptist Church in Park Hills with Rev. Jonathan Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the Esther Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home Caldwell Chapel in Park Hills.
