Mrs. Alberta Mae 'Thomasson' Bannister passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at her residence at the age of 95 years, 5 months & 16 days. Alberta was the daughter of Carl & Ada Thomasson & was born Jan. 21, 1920, in Bonne Terre, MO., & was preceded in death by her husband, Earl A. Bannister on April 7, 2003; a son, Thomas Earl Bannister (1991); a daughter, Linda Bannister Meyer Whitten (2001); sisters: Edith Welland; Alma Kerlagon; Mabel Carvik & Ethel Shaw. Brothers: Paul Thomasson & Shelton Thomasson. Brothers-In-Law & Sisters-In-Law: James Bates; Erma Cook; Golda Clark; Bessie Sheppard; Christine Hardy; Lucy Forshee; Dean Bannister & Roy Bannister.
Alberta Mae retired as the Office Manager from St. Francois County Savings & Loan Association. She was a member of the Desloge United Methodist Church.
Survivors Include : a daughter, Barb Oder, of Farmington. A special daughter-in-law, Bess Ann Bannister, of Farmington. 3 sisters: Ada Ella Turley, of Jackson, MO; Velma Bates, of Imperial, MO & Etta Ruth Holloway, of Jonesboro, AR. a brother, Carl Joe (& Marion) Thomasson, of OK. Brother-In-Law & Sister-In-Laws: Jerry & Velma Bannister, of Bonne Terre & Marilyn Bannister, of Desloge. 4 Grandchildren: Diannah (& Jeffrey) White, of Kansas City, MO; Leigh (& Ken) Meyer-Anderson, of Indianapolis, IN; Heather (& Doug) Botkin, of Farmington & Aaron Bannister, of Farmington. 8 great-grandchildren: Deegan Bannister; Coyler Bannister; Braden Botkin; Franklin Meyer-Anderson; Kaylee Meyer-Anderson; Jenna White; Mylee Bannister & Brenna Botkin.
Visitation : Monday, 4:30 - 8 p.m. Visitation resumes, Tuesday @ 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., July 14, 2015
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. John Swatosh officiating.
Interment : Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington
