Alberta "Deek" Penberthy

Alberta Sue Penberthy, also known as “Deek”, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, in Park Hills, at the age of 75. She was born on Tuesday, November 29, 1949, in St. Louis to the late Robert Albert and Suzie May (Stone) Brazel.

Alberta was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Park Hills. For over 30 years, Alberta lovingly dedicated herself to her craft as a beautician, using her talent and compassion to make others feel beautiful and confident. 

In addition to her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roger Dale Penberthy; grandson, Aaron Wells; siblings, Robert “Bobby” Brazel, Edward “Eddie” Brazel, Virginia Brazel and John Waggoner. 

Alberta is survived by her daughter, Tammy Thomas, her grandsons, Seth Thomas and Courtney Vallo; great-granddaughters, Addie and Kaitly Thomas; brother, Lloyd Waggoner; nieces, Kathy Mincher and Theresa Waggoner along with other family and friends.

 Memorial visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM until the memorial service of 6:00 PM with Reverend Larry Huber officiating. Visitation will resume after the service until 8:00 PM.
