Shirley Ann Hood

            Shirley Ann Hood age 77, of Desloge passed away August 17, 2017 at her residence.  She was born on January 7, 1940 in Esther to the late Willard Hood and Sarah “Gerry” (Blunt) Fields. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-dad, Charles Fields and a special friend, Shirley Turner. Shirley worked for 31 years as a psychiatric aide at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center.

            Shirley is survived by one daughter, Tara Grayson and her husband Russ of Desloge; one granddaughter, Logan Leventry and her fiance’ Jake Ragan; one great-granddaughter, Camillia Ragan and a special friend Bessie Pullem.

           Private graveside services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society or the Kidney Foundation in memory of Shirley.
