Pat Skaggs

          Rastus “Pat” Lee Skaggs, 80, of Bismarck, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family.  Pat was born on Tuesday, April 29, 1941, in Fountain Farm.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He retired after 33 years with Ford Motor Company.  Pat enjoyed bowling, wood-working, collecting old coins, traveling and camping.  He was also a member of Leadington Free Will Baptist Church.

          He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Franklin and Genevie Grace (Nickleson) Skaggs; grandson, Nathan Compton Skaggs; brothers, Vernon, Samuel and Jimmy Skaggs.

          Pat is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Katherine (Bable) Skaggs; three children, Patrick Skaggs and wife Lucretia, Glen Skaggs and Gwen Skaggs; three grandchildren, Tanner Skaggs and wife Kelsey, Ethan Skaggs and Laura Skaggs; four great-grandchildren, Zayley, Liam, Emersyn and Sloan Skaggs; four siblings, Bobby Gene Skaggs, Dennis Skaggs and wife Donna, Kenny Skaggs and wife Shirley, Sue Ann Aubuchon and husband Jim; six sisters-in-law, Virginia Skaggs, Wanda Williams, Mary Robbins, Linda Andrews, Debbie Garrett and JoAnn Graham; special friend, Austin along with several nieces and nephews.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, July 7, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.  The visitation will resume, Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Craig Bodenschatz will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington.  Memorials may be directed to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
