Mary A. Jones

Mary Angela Jones, 74, of Irondale passed away October 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 15, 1949 in Bonne Terre to the late Robert Madison and Glenda Josephine (Belken) Boyd. Mary was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington. She was a registered nurse for over 40 years. She worked most of her career at the Bonne Terre Hospital, which later became BJC Parkland Hospital. She spent the last five years of her career working for SEMO Behavioral Health. Mary’s grandchildren were her world and she loved them dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her two sons, Christopher Robert Jones and Christopher Douglas Jones; two grandsons, Jonathan Douglas Jones and Christopher Andrew Jones; two brothers, Robert Boyd and George Boyd; brother-in-law, Al Early; sister-in-law, Barbara Boyd.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Roy Douglas Jones; daughter, Jennifer Jones; two grandchildren, Nate Jones and Eli Pierce; one great-granddaughter, Paisley Jones; one sister, Jane Early; two brothers, Charlie Boyd and wife Rita and Mike Boyd and wife Sidney; sister-in-law, Gray Boyd.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington with Rev. William Thess officiating, assisted by Deacon Mike Burch. Interment will follow at New Calvary Cemetery in Farmington. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
