James Rhodes, Sr.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Lou (Sherrill) Rhodes; daughter, Joni Marler; great-grandson, Carter James Rhodes; and one sister, Carlotta “Pete” Clark. 

            Jim is survived by his children, Georgiana (Mrs. Robert) Bloom, James Rhodes, Jr. and wife Melinda, Jonathan Rhodes, and Carrie (Mrs. Christopher) Wadlow; nine grandchildren, Brian Duncan, Mary Elizabeth Corcoran, Rebecca Hall, Garrett Rhodes, Jessica Rhodes, Alicia Eads, Jeffrey Wadlow, Charlie Wadlow, and Kristin Wadlow; fourteen great-grandchildren; and beloved niece, Nancy Warren.  

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, February 21, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will resume at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge, Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 10:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM with Dennis Conway officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials may be directed to the Esther Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.
