Fred Wayne Sikes

Fred Wayne Sikes, 76, of Desloge passed away January 3, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Hospital. He was born July 25, 1940 in Elvins to the late Elva Lee and Opal (Newkirk) Sikes. Fred was preceded in death by wife Rose Marie Sikes; one brother, Bill Sikes and two sisters, Joyce James and Mary Jordan.

Fred was a retired diesel mechanic from Cummins Diesel. He was a member of the Leadbelt United Pentecostal Church and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by his children, Keith Sikes, Izella (Larry) Walker, April (Chris) Lober, Joe (Linda) Sikes, Kenny Sikes and Mark (Tina) Sikes; grandchildren, Stacy Sikes, Kevin Sikes, Steven (Stephanie) Walker, Josh (Kristen) Walker, Freddy Lober, Melissa (Lance) Cross, Joey Sikes, Cassie (Dan) Curtis, Ashley Sikes, Johnny Sikes, and Dustin Sikes; 16 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Don (Marie) Sikes and Jim (Brenda) Sikes.

Visitation will be Thursday January 5, 2017 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral service will be 11 am Friday at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge with Rev.
