Dorothy M. Willis

Dorothy M. Willis, 90 of Farmington, went to be with God on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Country Meadows Nursing Home. She was born Saturday, January 20, 1923 in Koester, Missouri located in St. Francois County, the daughter of the late Laura Jane Porter and Arthur Carl Koester. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd H. Willis; their infant child James Lloyd Willis; daughter-in-law Sharon Willis; three sisters Mamie Boyd, Bertha Hall, and Florence Richardson; one brother Howard Koester. She loved quilting, reading her bible, and spending time with friends. She was a member of Harvest Christian Centre and had a passion for attending church and spending time in worship with her brothers and sisters in Christ.Dorothy is survived by her children Gerald Willis and wife Judy of Milton, FL, Naomi Kean and husband Larry of Chattanooga, TN, Phillip Willis of Glen Carbon, IL, Sharon Eaton and husband Harold of Farmington, MO, and Paul Willis of Farmington, MO; grandchildren Cindy and Chris Jester of Valdosta, GA, Nicholas and Michaela Kean of Valdosta, GA, Jonathan Kean of San Francisco, CA, Gregory Kean of Valdosta, GA, Angie and Jason Pilger of Staunton, IL, Adam Willis of Bellville, IL, Corey and Chanda Eaton of Farmington, MO, Nathan Eaton of Farmington, MO, and Matthew and Laura Willis of Farmington, MO; great-grandchildren Alex, Katilyn, and David Pilger, Maddox Kean, Dillion Allen, and Gavin Eaton; one brother Albert Koester and wife Minnie of Wright City, MO; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many dear friends.Visitation will be Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Boyer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwight Jones and Rev. George Declue officiating. Interment will follow at Charter Memorial Gardens near Festus, MO. Memorials can be directed to Harvest Christian Centre for the Foster Childrens Christmas Program.
