Donna Kay Burns

Donna Kay Burns, 64, passed away October 10, 2020 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. She was born August 14, 1956 in Bonne Terre. She was preceded in death by her Father, Frank Ely; husband, William “Butch” Buxton; grandson, Clayton Alexander Rosener.

Donna was a Missouri Dept. of Corrections retiree, where she worked as a cook at the Farmington Correctional Facility. She was a member of the New Beginnings Worship Center.

Donna is survived by her two daughters, Holly Anna Hampton and Heidi Rae Chance; grandchildren, Nicholas McKinley Weiss, Hayden William Rosener, Adam Seth Weiss, Anna Paige Weiss; great-grandchildren, Cedric Colson Weiss, Lincoln Lucious Weiss; mother, Mary Lee (Sikes) Johnson and step-father Carl Lee Johnson; step-mother, Shirley Ely; brother, Randy Joe Ely; sister, Susan Lynn (Michael) Hopkins;  several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Visitation will be Tuesday October 13, 2020 from 10 am until time of the service at 1 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home Taylor Chapel in Farmington. Pastor Tim Morgan will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at the Doe Run Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
